                AP for ITV!!

Today there are four meetings, flat cards at Doncaster, Newbury and Wolverhampton plus a great jumps card at Cheltenham.  David has two runners at Cheltenham, Gary Charm runs in the 5.05pm race, a 3m1f Amateur riders handicap chase.  He is a 12/1 chance in the Racing Post and is ridden by Rex Dingle who takes a handy seven pounds off our top weight.  Our eight year old grey is having his first run for Pond House and it will be interesting to see how he get's on.  His recent form as not been so good but he has won 10 of 30 races in France.  Purple N Gold runs in the 5.40pm Conditonal jockey's handicap hurdle ridden by David Noonan.  He is a big price, 25/1 and he has had a busy summer but on his best form he does look to have a small each way chance.

There are a few interesting runners at Cheltenham this afternoon.  El Bandit for Paul Nicholls looks the best form horse in the 2.10pm and goes for a five timer.  Gordon Elliott brings over Tiger Roll for the 3.55pm.  He looks to have the best form but can occasionally throw in the odd stinker!  It is good racing throughout on this Cheltenham card and I know what I shall be doing this afternoon!

I have been looking at the line up for the ITV racing team.  I am not sure what Victoria Pendleton knows about horse racing?  How can she be named and people like A P McCoy have not made the list?!  I know who I would rather listen to!  Maybe we should start a campaign...

I bought some money yesterday when Man United won 4-1 against a dour looking Fenerbahce side.  Two of United's four goals were penalties.  I also had a good day with the gee gees for once as well.  I had five bets and four of them won at 7/1, 5/2, 5/6 and 4/6 so there is food on the table again!  It looks like the betting firms advertising will have to be changed.  I listened to a mum speaking on the radio who's son has got into trouble via free bet advertising.  She said her boy is hooked and the family have had to bail him out.  I know a few people who have got into trouble, be careful!

Former UK Sports anti-doping chief Michele Verroken warns British stars are in danger of becoming no better than drug cheats, surely she should know?

I always cry at the same spot in the movies.  Right at the ticket window!  Have a nice day.
