Three in Wales

David has three runner at Ffos Las this afternoon, Citrus, Herbert Park and Abracadabra Sivola.  Citrus runs in the 2.00pm conditional jockeys handicap hurdle over 2 miles.  He would have to improve on recent runs but he ran well for long way last time at Wetherby when perhaps not seeing out the trip.  A repeat of that would give him a chance with David Noonan on board.  Herbert Park and Abracadabra Sivola both run in the 4.45pm handicap chase over three miles.  Both horses have the form to be in the shake up.  Tom Scu rides Herbert Park and David Noonan rides Abracadabra Sivola.

I read a quote from Michael O'Leary on his Martin Pipe winner, Champagne Classic "he's probably the worst horse we own.  We buy them in numbers and you get a few duds - he is one of the duds!"  I bet he really would like a few more like Champagne Classic!

I see at Chelmsford yesterday a horse called Mighty Zip was disqualified for weighing in six pounds light.  They found the horse did not have his weight cloth.  The trainer Lisa Williamson was also a few pounds light when she was fined £1500!  She says she may appeal but I think it would be a waste of time.  Some of the poor bookmakers were already paying out on the result and I doubt the punters would have given their money back!

There is  great football match today, Man City versus Liverpool.  I wonder what Liverpool team will turn up?  City at 10/11 look a bet.  I am also going to back Tottenham to beat Sunderland at 8/11 and Man United to win at Middlesbrough at 3/4.

I see Maria Sharapova expects her fellow players to always be suspicious of her.  I wonder why she thinks that?!  Any drugs cheat should not be allowed to play their sport again, that is the answer and then there would be no more suspicion!
