It is a busy day with five meetings to look forward to this afternoon. There is jumping action from Perth, Chepstow and Huntingdon supported by flat action from Sandown and Doncaster. David has one runner this afternoon as Warthog contests the 2m2f bumper from Punchestown at 7.45pm - the race that the stable won a couple of years ago with Champers On Ice.  Our five year old gelding, Warthog (pictured above) was a winner of an Irish point-to-point and was unlucky not to win on his rules debut at Chepstow.  Top amateur Patrick Mullins is in the saddle and I was a little disappointed to see him priced up at 5/2 as I was hoping he was going to be bigger than that.

Stable jockey Tom Scudamore rode a winner at Market Rasen to take his tally onto 99 for the season - he was beaten only a short head on another mount there and will certainly be ruing that if he does not reach the ton...he is certainly cutting it fine with the end of the season tomorrow.  Tom has picked up three outside rides at Chepstow today - he could do with getting that winner on the board as tomorrow's card looks fiercely competitive.

It looks like there will be a grandstand finish to the Irish trainers' championship with Gordon Elliott now little over £120,000 in front of Willie Mullins with plenty of prize money to play for.  The Irish Champion Hurdle is worth £147,500 to the winner and Mullins has five of the runners!  Elliott is now 8/11 and Mullins 11/10.

Manchester City and United played out a 0-0 draw yesterday evening that really hasn't done anyone any favours.  I would get rid of Marquan Fellaini after he was sent off for headbutting Sergio Aguero.  He was booked only 19 seconds before and then confronted the fourth official as he reluctantly left the pitch - talk about the epitome of stupid!  Do United really need players like this idiot donning their shirts?  I had better be careful what I say as Gemma from the office will be going up there to see United take on Swansea at the weekend.

The big fight between Joshua and Klitschko should be interesting tomorrow night.  I think Joshua will win big as his opponents days look numbered to me - Joshua is 2/5 to win on points and 4/5 to win by knockout.

I just phoned the police because someone broke into my house overnight and released thousand of house flies...don't worry though, they are sending over a SWAT team!  Have a nice day...
