The Two Amigos runs at Worcester
Today we have five meetings, flat cards at York, Yarmouth and Bath plus jumps cards at Worcester and Perth.  David has one runner at Worcester, The Two Amigos in the 4.45pm with Tom Scu on board.  This is a 2m4f handicap hurdle and although he is yet to win over hurdles he did run a good second over three miles at Taunton and has other okay form.  He is an Irish point to point winner who has a small each way chance at 12/1.  Richard Johnson goes all the way to Perth for two rides so he must think they have a good chance.  It looks a cracking card at York today with a couple of Group races on the card, mind you they all look competitive.

Work finished fourth at Chepstow yesterday at 16/1 and it was not a bad effort.  She would not have to improve much to win a small race.  Jamie Codd made the trip to Sedgefield worthwhile, this was his first visit to the track and he won the bumper on Way Out West.  To me it looked like a professional riding against amateurs and conditionals, he was different class!

Only a few hundred people turned up for the switched meeting at Warwick yesterday and the usual facilities at the track were unavailable as it had been booked for two speed awareness courses!  Surely even a switched meeting has got to be sorted out better than this!

Both Arsenal and Man City won their matches last night so it goes down to the last day to see who gets in the top four Champions League places.  Arsenal must beat Everton and hope Liverpool lose at home to relegated Middlesbrough and I can't see Liverpool slipping up.

Andy Murray is going through a bad spell in the tennis.  He lost in the first round in the Italian Open so lets just hope he gets it together by the time Wimbledon starts.  Still on the topic of tennis, it is good to see the French Open top brass will not be giving drug cheat Sharapova a wild card into the first round or even next weeks qualifiers.  Lets hope that Wimbledon follow suit although I am not sure they will.  Ban drug cheats for life, that is the only way you are going to stop them!

I am thinking of having my lawn carpeted so the puppy will know where to pee!  Have a nice day.
