There are five meetings today, flat cards at York, Salisbury and Newmarket plus jumps cards at Fontwell and Perth.  Well after non-stop rain at Pond House yesterday we have some nice sunshine this morning!  The Two Amigos was a non-runner at Worcester yesterday as rain at the track changed the going to soft.  It is a hunter chase meeting at Fontwell and they have £15,000 on offer for all their races.  I still don't think it is right for professional trainers to have runners in these type of races.  David Noonan is up at Perth for one ride in the last race, a horse called Important Moment and let's hope it is!  I like the bookmakers comments at Worcester, "is there anybody out there"!  The weather was pretty bad at Worcester yesterday and so hardly anybody was going outside!  The jockey to follow at Worcester yesterday was Noel Fehily who rode a treble and he won on a 20/1 shot, it is so easy after the results!

Yesterday we had an unexpected visit from the Devon and Cornwall Police.  Thankfully they were only returning some lost property to a member of staff but while they were here they were good sports as MCP put them on our equicisor!

It is Nathaniel Parker's birthday and he is 55 today.  He is growing a beard trying to hire his face up, in 2023 years time it will be a real beard!  Another birthday today is one of my old Pontins camp managers, David Roberts who is now managing director of Wolverhampton racecourse.  He is 59 today.  Happy birthday to both gentlemen.

It is Leicester versus Tottenham tonight at 7.45pm.  It seems there is football on every night at the moment according to Mrs Barnes.  At 7/2 Leicester look a good price to me.  Spurs cannot win the league so might not be at full stength and of course a couple of their players want away.  Eric Dier, Kyle Walker and Danny Rose to name three of them.  At last, the FA are going to look into players that dive.  They are going to vote on a proposal today that is already in use in Scotland.  I think once you ban them for say a month then you would cut out diving altogether!

I see that tennis legend Pat Cash has urged Wimbledon not to give Sharapova a wold card this summer.  I hope Wimbledon have got the bottle but it would not surprise me if they do give her a wild card.

My hamster dies from lack of exercise, he just didn't have the wheel to live!  Have a good day.
