Three Star General runs at Ffos Las
It is a bank holiday weekend which means a busy racing weekend!  There are seven meetings today, flat cards at Haydock, Goodwood, York, Chester and Salisbury plus jumps cards at Cartmel and Ffos Las.  David has four runners at Ffos Las, Delface, Three Star General, Bambi Du Noyer and Tis What It Is.  Delface runs in the 6pm race, a 2 mile novice hurdle.  He won a 2 mile maiden hurdle at Wexford on soft/heavy ground.  They have had 14mm of rain at Ffos Las overnight so this will hep but the ground will still probably be quicker than when he won.  He works well at home and Tom Scu rides so hopefully he has a good chance.  Three Star General runs in the 7.30, a 2m6f novice hurdle.  He is a 70 rated flat performer who finished fourth in a decent novice hurdle at Ascot on his stable debut.  A similar level of form would give him a great chance but Positively Dylan looks the one to beat.  Don't forget he also won the Cheltenham Charity race in the meantime with Ben Moore on board.

Bambi Du Noyer runs in the 8.30, a 2m4f handicap hurdle.  Our six year old has run well the last twice for us and looks to have a solid chance in this contest.  Tis What It Is runs in the 9.00 Bumper for which he has been put up favourite in the paper.  He works nicely at home so fingers crossed he can run okay tonight.  Tom Scu rides all of David's runners.  We also have one runner on the flat today at Chester.  Aldrin runs in the 1.55pm 7f maiden with John Egan in the saddle.  He is a nice horse who is making his Pond House debut.

There is a good flat card at Haydock today with two Group races and a Listed race.  Harry Angel looks the form horse in the Group 2 at 3.30pm for Clive Cox.

It is Cup Finals day today and we have a local derby, Arsenal versus Chelsea.  You can back Chelsea at 5/6 with Paddy Power.  It seems the Gunners have problems not just with their manager!  In Scotland we have Celtic versus Aberdeen.  Celtic are best priced 1/2 and I think I will have a little double.

As you know I am not really into rugby but some of my mates are off to Twickenham to watch Exeter Chiefs play Wasps.  On paper it looks a close game according to the paper.  Wasps are best priced 11/10, Exeter are 19/20.  Even if I had a bet I could not get very interested.

In the golf I cannot believe Branden Grace got a free drop in a bunker at Wentworh because his feet went into the sand too deep!  I have never heard of something so ridiculous.

Hedgehogs - why can't they just shark the hedge!  Have a good day.
