Today there are six meetings, flat cards at Ascot, Thirsk, York, Newmarket and Chepstow plus a jumps card at Uttoxeter.  Racing has made the front pages of the National newspapers again for all the wrong reasons!  It is hard to believe that you can run the wrong horse in a race these days but that is what happened at Yarmouth yesterday.  A 50/1 chance won the opening two year old race but the horse that took part was actually a three year old!  How can the trainer or stable person not know the difference between the two horses?! I don't believe there was any skulduggery going on but I do find it rather unbelievable.  I guarantee that MCP nor David would ever get two horses mixed up before saddling them.  MCP said even I wouldn't do that!  One bookmaker paid out £400 on the wrong 50/1 winner but I don't know why it took so long for the the stewards to announce the mistake?  The race should have been void.

I see that Dan Skelton had the first three favourites beaten in the first three races at Worcester yesterday at odds of 6/4, 5/6, abd 5/2 so I bet some punters got their fingers burnt!  One for the notebook, I thought Mr Caffrey looked in front of the handicapper off a mark of 92 next time.

They say that too many cooks spoil the broth, not so if you are an England cricketer!  We need more Cook's playing for our team!  He looks like he is the only World class batsman England have got.  On a tricky wicket he is on 82 not out and gave a master class in batting.

I see that footballer Joey Barton's ban has been reduced by 5 months to 13  months now.  I would like to bet that Barton is not the only footballer who bets on football.  Mind you, Barton was stupid to bet on his own team to lose.

My electrician mate accidentally blew the power into the ice cube factory next door.  The company has gone into liquidation!
