There are five meetings taking place this afternoon with flat cards from Goodwood, Redcar, Sandown and Leicester while there is a jumps fixture from Perth.  I hope a few of you followed me yesterday as I was quite keen on Stradivarius for the Goodwood Cup and he duly won at odds of 6/1.  I was well pleased, especially as I had had a bit on early at 10's...lovely jubbly!  Meanwhile, the best of our runners at Worcester yesterday was Gabrial The Great who was beaten only 1/2 length in the handicap chase having been headed close home - this was a very good effort trying to concede 16lbs to the winner, the trouble is the handicapper is sure to have noticed.  Magie du Ma was fourth in the beginners' chase although she was arguably unlucky to not finish runner-up, a bad mistake at the last costing her momentum and she lost two places close home.

Stable jockey Tom Scudamore makes the long journey up to Perth today where he has picked up a couple of outside rides.  A word of praise for Conor O'Farrell who rode a winner aboard Firstymini at Perth yesterday.  He gave his mount a very good ride and he remains a most accomplished jockey.  Firstymini was claimed from France and was winning here from a mark of only 81 and looks as though he he is up to winning again.

I see a young mother from Cheshire had a day she will never forget yesterday when picking four winners at Goodwood to land herself just short of £1/4 million for just £4.52!  If her final selection, Darkroom Angel had won, her winnings would have been well in excess of the £1million payout limit imposed by bookmaker William Hill.  Her winners were priced at 12/1, 33/1, 50/1 and 100/1...either she is the best tipster of all time, or I need to borrow her pin!  She is planning on buying a new house - good for her I say.

I listening to John Terry singing yesterday as part of the Aston Villa initiation ceremony that all of the players have to go through.  All I will say is that it's a good job that he is still a good footballer as the record deal looks some way off!

Celtic play Rosenborg tonight in the Champion's League and it is on Sky at 7.45pm.  They drew 0-0 in Glasgow although now they should have their starters back and look tempting at odds of 6/4.  I must be going mad backing a Scottish team...what do yo reckon Sean?!

I have just spent half an hour trying to take Mrs Barnes' bra off...I wish I had never tried it on!  Keep smiling...
