There are four meetings taking place this afternoon with flat cards from Nottingham, Lingfield and Kempton and a jumps fixture from Wetherby.  There are no runners from Pond House today, although David does still feature heavily in the Racing Post with his stable tour appearing today.  Not only does it make for interesting reading there are some beautiful photographs from Ed Whitaker (pictured above, left) - he's made me proud, I couldn't have done much better myself!  Make sure you are early to grab a copy as Martin does like to pick up a few extras so you may miss out!  I always enjoy this feature before the start of the core season every year and find the paper worth buying just to hear what the trainers say about their horses for the season ahead.

Both Lady Of Longstone and Kalifourchon finished fifth at Worcester yesterday and while neither were disgraced, they should both drop a few pounds in the weights and should be winning again before too long.

I see that conditional jockey Ryan Hatch has been banned for three days for weighing-in 2lbs overweight.  He says that he drank a glass of water after weighing-out...he must have been thirsty!

There was a great result for Spurs to earn a draw against Real Madrid last night...I just wonder how much longer Tottenham are going to be able to hang on to their talisman Harry Kane?  The players of today are so rich that they don't need the money anymore and are only interested in cups and titles.  I think Kane will have to move if he wants to win the Premiership - that will upset all my Spurs mates (or should that be ex-mates?!).  Chelsea take on Roma tonight and the best price about Chelsea is 13/20, while Manchester United are 17/20 to win away against Benfica.

Leicester have finally lost patience with manager Craig Shakespeare.  The trouble is that after winning the title in 2016 too much is expected of them.  You would think that winning that one championship would have secured him a job for life.  Success doesn't buy you loyalty it would seem.  If they manage to stay in the Premier League it must be considered a result.

Last night I was so drunk that when I walked across the dance floor to reach the bar, I won the dancing competition!
