There are three meetings taking place this afternoon with jumps cards from Leicester and Plumpton as well as an all-weather flat card from Wolverhampton.  David has two runners today at Leicester; Red Square Revival and Delface.  Red Square Revival contests the 2m6½f handicap chase at 12.50pm having won last time out at Plumpton.  He does not look too badly treated from a 3lbs higher mark and the trip looks as though it will suit him down to the ground - he is a 7/2 chance and should go close under Tom Scu.  Delface (pictured above) runs in the 1m7½f handicap hurdle at 1.50pm having shown a good attitude to score at Ffos Las on his stable debut.  A mark of 119 does not leave an awful lot of room for manoeuvre and he probably has Irish raider High Expectations to beat but he should go well nonetheless.

Starchitect put up a cracking performance in the BetVictor Gold Cup at Cheltenham on Saturday when beaten only a neck by Splash Of Ginge, trying to concede 10lbs.  He picked up prize money of £34,000...I just wish he had won!  Meanwhile, Rathlin Rose put up a good performance on his first start of the season to finish third in the Southern National at Fontwell yesterday - another one that was trying to concede weight to those in front of him.

Faugheen was very impressive in Ireland on Sunday where he bolted up on his first start for nearly two years.  He was 4/11 favourite but he jumped and travelled supremely well and is now favourite for the Champion Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival in March.  You do have to feel sorry for Ruby Walsh who was sidelined having broken his leg - hopefully he will be back in time for March.

I don't want to talk about football, unless you know of eleven good players who could play for the claret and blue!

Golfer Tommy Fleetwood has just won the Race To Dubai following a Justin Rose capitulation - the win means that he picks up the Harry Vardon trophy and a bonus cheque for £1million.  He could probably afford to get a decent hair cut now!

I love the rivalry between Michael Van Gerwen and Phil 'The Power' Taylor.  The pair had a bad tempered semi-final in the Grand Slam of Darts and heated words were exchanged before the Dutchman prevailed.  I don't think they like each other!

I remember every minute of my last trip to Las Vegas.  I was there for five days and two nights!  Keep smiling...
