There are just two meetings taking place this afternoon; a jumps card from Kelso and an all-weather flat card from Southwell.  If I was going to Kelso today, I think I would be following leading northern jockey Brian Hughes who looks to have a strong book of rides.  Meanwhile, a few of the flat jockeys who are engaged at Southwell were riding at Meydan earlier in the week...it must be something of a shock to them!

For once I have to say that I agree with Matt Chapman.  The orange one says that the Cheltenham Festival does not need any new races, there are enough of them already.  There are already seven races on three of the days and you can see where this is going...with the addition of another race we are just another step closer to a five day Cheltenham Festival.  It sounds as if another mares' race is on the agenda, but there are already a couple of those and I really don't see the point in diluting the division any further.  If they are going to add to it, why not have a veteran's race?  I love watching these old warriors trying for all they are worth.

There is a cracking good football match to look forward to this afternoon when Manchester City take on Liverpool at 4pm.  I think Liverpool could surprise a few people now they have a new centre half.  If they could replace their goalkeeper they would have a useful team and may just prove a bit of value at 21/10.  The other match is between Bournemouth and Arsenal at 1.30pm.  I hate to say it, but the Gunners look worth at bet at 3/4.  Mr Moany, the Arsenal manager delivered a bombshell when he told supporters that he would never leave and intended to see out his contract.  That means that Arsenal can look forward to not winning the Premiership anytime in the near future!

Don't you just hate it when someone answers their own questions?  I do!

Am I the only one, or does anybody else like to stop the microwave with one second to go, just so I can feel like James Bond?!
