Ramses De Teillee Winner at Chepstow

The good news is that racing goes ahead at Haydock and there are five meetings on today.  The other meetings are jumps cards at Ascot and Taunton plus flat cards at Lingfield and Chelmsford.  David has two runners at Taunton.  In the 1.05pm he runs Drama King, a 2m3f national hunt novice hurdle.  He returns from a long break having only had one run in a bumper over 600 days ago.  That wasn't a bad bumper at Newbury and the winner of that race, Jenkins is favourite for one of the big races at Ascot today.  David Noonan rides our seven year old who should improve for the experience whatever happens this afternoon.  David also runs Irish Prince in the 3.25pm novice hurdle over 2 miles.  This is his second run over hurdles and he needs to improve on what he did at Newbury last time.  Tom Scu goes to Haydock and has picked up some nice spare rides.

Ramses De Teille won nicely over fences at Chepstow yesterday and looked to win with a little bit in hand.  He jumped very well out of the bottomless ground, he led three out and always looked like the winner.  I hope you followed me and had a bit of the 11/8.  It was a nice performance from our six year old to make it two wins out of three over the larger obstacles and he seems to like Chepstow!  Although only a small field it was a competitive one and he did that nicely.  There are no grand plans for him at the moment but he certainly is a nice staying chaser.

The weather is very strange at the moment.  Up North they seem to be getting very cold weather and down here in the West it never seems to stop raining at the moment!  I see that some of the jockeys are heading out to Las Vegas after racing at Sandown on 28th April.  There is  little break before the new season begins so you could bump into Sam Twiston-Davies, Aiden Coleman and Ritchie McClernon if you are out there!  They mention it could be very hot, don't tell the people up North they are complaining at the moment!

It is Charlie Swan's birthday today.  He rode quite a few winners for Martin.  Happy birthday Charlie!

The early kick off in the football today is Brighton versus Chelsea.  They bet 8/13 Chelsea.  Burnley play Manchester United and they go 8/13 United.  Southampton play Spurs and Spurs are 4/6.  West Ham play Bournemouth and my team the Hammers are evens.

England have gone 2-0 up in the cricket down under in the One Day series.  We won by four wickets and Joe Root even took two wickets.  I wonder why we can't do any better in the Test matches?!

Doctor doctor my wife makes me boilng mad...now just simmer down!  Have a nice day.
