Wet 'n' Wild

Today there are three meetings, two jumps cards at Fontwell and Newcastle plus a flat card at Chelmsford.  David does not have any runners but Tom Scu has a ride at Fontwell.  I think if you are going to back anything at Fontwell then you always have to have a look at what Gary Moore is running.  It is one of his local tracks and he does have a lot of winners there.  I also see that Nigel Twiston-Davies goes to Newcastle with only one runner so that could be one to watch!  Meanwhile in Ireland they have great prize money on offer at Thurles which have attracted some good fields.

I can't believe the bookmakers can offer so many good deals.  Betfair are offering up to a 25/1 free bet with every winner you back at 3/1 or more in any ITV race.  

I think is must be good to be one of the top flat jockey's, you don't have to ride at Chelmsford today, you could instead be riding at Meydan.  It is definitely a lot warmer and drier and every race is worth £18,000 and more!  The weather is not due to be good down here in the West country today, I think I might stay indoors and watch all the sporting action!

In the football it is hard to believe that a small club like Brighton can sign a player like Jurgen Locadia from Eindhoven for £14 million.  You just wonder where the money is coming from?!  It is not as if they get a 50,000 crowd for their home games each week.  Just think what would happen to some of these clubs if Sky pulled out of football.  USA football bosses fear they could lose their World Cup bid because Donald Trump has alienated too many countries.  The USA, Mexico and Canada all want to host the 2026 World Cup.  FIFA's member will vote in June to decide who will hold them.  It is a long time until June and Trump will certainly be saying more things to upset people and countries before then!
