Today we have five flat cards at Nottingham, Yarmouth, Brighton, Kempton and Newcastle.  You must always follow trainers who are in good form and and that certainly applies to Mick Channon's stable who have had four winners in the last two days.  It always seems funny to me that when a yard is in form that even the bad horses seem to run well.  I will certainly be keeping an eye on all his runners this week.  I see Paul Nicholls' first two year old runner finished last at Salisbury yesterday.  It is not quite the same as training a three mile chaser.  Having said that it was quite keen and ran green and will certainly improve.

Richard Melia's name will not necessarily mean a lot to you but he is the man that has been gate crashing all the big winners in the winners enclosure.  Last year he led Sizing John into the winners enclosure at Cheltenham after he won the Gold Cup.  He has now been given an indefinite exclusion order by the BHA.  Mind you, they could not keep him out of the winners enclosure so how are they going to keep him off the racecourses?

It is Steve Cauthen's birthday today and he is 58.  MCP gave him one of his first winners in this country.  Does anyone know what it was called?!  Answer at the end!

Spurs beat Watford 2-0 in the Premiership last night and Harry Kane scored his first goal at Wembley since 10th February.  This results means it looks like Spurs will finish in the top four.

I see that snooker's bosses are considering introducing yellow and red cards to try to curb slow play.  They want to put pressure on the players.  I think there should be more pressure put on the pro golfers.  The club players watch and take as long as the Pros and some of my matches have now been taking over 4 hours!

How come your'e so luck at cards and yet unlucky and the horses?  I don't get to shuffle the horses!  Have a good day!

Answer: Right Regent
