There are three meetings taking place this afternoon with a jumps card from Worcester and flat fixtures from Brighton and Sandown.  David has runners today at both Worcester and Sandown.  Do Ya Feel Lucky contests the 2m7f mares' handicap hurdle at Worcester at 3.40pm.  A winner over hurdles in Ireland, she endured a troubled passage last time and is better than that run would suggest.  Course and distance should suit and she looks to have each-way claims with Tom Scudamore on board.

Our other runner is Lady Reset, who runs in the valuable 1m2f fillies' handicap at Sandown at 6.15pm.  She has been in tremendous form this summer, winning twice on the flat and once over hurdles.  This represents a step-up in class, especially with a number of improving three-year old's in the line-up.  She would need to improve again to figure but she has certainly earned her place in the race.  She wouldn't want too much rain - the faster the ground, the better her chance.  Rossa Ryan takes the ride.

There are three Premiership football matches to look forward to this afternoon with the London derby between Arsenal and Chelsea looking to be the pick of the action.  Arsenal will need to improve following their humbling defeat by Brentford in their opening match of the campaign.  They have won their last three matches against Chelsea, but this could be tougher this afternoon.  The match kicks off at 4.30pm.

The British Open snooker championship final gets underway today and I may tune in for some of the action.  The shorter format has certainly seen a number of upsets along the way.  The final is another sprint, with the winner the first to reach six frames.
