Hereford Runners

There are four meetings taking place this afternoon with jumps cards from Huntingdon, Hereford and Lingfield and an all-weather flat fixture from Newcastle.  David has two runners at Hereford today as Miss M and Oneonechop contest the 2m handicap hurdle at 3.25pm.  Miss M has won a couple of times over hurdles and looks to have dropped to a feasible mark.  She looked a likely winner at Fontwell on her penultimate start until not quite getting the longer trip.  She looks to have decent claims with Fergus Gillard in the saddle.

Oneonechop contests the same race and he had some decent placed form earlier in the season and is reasonably weighted on that basis.  He will appreciate the decent ground and sharp track, however, he has some disappointing efforts to overcome and needs to improve on those to figure.  Philip Armson rides and takes 7lbs off his back.

There is a rest day in the T20 cricket world cup.  Ante-post favourites for the competition, India were successful yesterday as they easily beat Namibia but were eliminated after failing to do enough to qualify from the group stages.  England now face New Zealand in the semi-finals of the tournament tomorrow and will be favourites to win.  Let's hope that they can do it.
