There are two meetings taking place this afternoon with a couple of jumps cards from Carlisle and Huntingdon.  The best of the action comes from Carlisle where there is a very interesting intermediate chase at 2.30pm as well as a novices' limited handicap chase at 1.25pm.  There are some promising types on show with the likes of Bear Ghylls taking on Cheltenham Festival winner Corach Rambler, whilst Iron Bridge is defending an unbeaten record.

There are no runners from the Pond House team today, although we will be back with a couple of runners at Hereford; Barrier Peaks and Ya Know Yaseff tomorrow.  Come back then to find out more.

There are a couple of Premiership football matches taking place today with Arsenal looking to face a simple task against Nottingham Forest, whilst Manchester United are home to West Ham in an altogether tighter affair.

The NFL returns to London tomorrow with the Denver Broncos playing the Jacksonville Jaguars.  The stadium is likely to be another sell-out despite both teams boasting a poor losing record.  It just goes to show the appetite for the sport in this country.  There has been persistent talk of the Jaguars (who are owned by Shahid Khan, who owns Fulham FC) moving to England on a permanent basis, although I have my doubts whether that would be a good move.  One of the best things about having no fixed home team is that spectators have had the chance to see all 32 teams in action.  The Jags are poor more often than not and I can see that soon getting tiresome.

With the NFL and F1 taking place tonight, I should be in for a great evening.  However, more likely than not, I will probably be in broadband hell once again thanks to TalkTalk...
