          Ben Lilly runs today!
The flat action continues to dominate with no jump racing to watch, which takes part at Goodwood, Chepstow, Southwell and Newcastle. In Ireland, they race on the flat at Gowran Park.

We head to Goodwood today with one runner, Ben Lilly who runs in the 4:40pm Handicap over 2miles with Rossa Ryan riding. He is a seven-time winner on the flat previously, but has not run for us on the flat, but he has won two hurdle races for us. He’s not ran since January having picked up an injury, but he’s in good form at home and this should be a nice place to start to get him back in the swing of things.

I just wanted to mention about young Amateur jockey Lauren Keen-Hawkins who is based with Kim Bailey, sustained a serious head injury and is in critical care after a fall at Worcester on Sunday. Lauren has been based at Kim’s yard for six or seven years and is described as a vital part of the team. She was having just her third ride of the season and has done plenty of point to pointing in the past. We all hope and pray for Lauren's speedy recovery and thoughts are with everyone close to her at this time.

The Paralympics action continued again for day five and GB's winning streak hasn't stopped yet as they walked away with six gold medals. The results take Team GB's gold tally to 29 and their overall count as 54, sitting still second on the table behind China who has topped the table the past five games.

What's small, red and has a rough voice?

A hoarse radish!

Happy Tuesday!
