It's a busy Saturday for racing with plenty of meetings on today, the jumping comes from Market Rasen being the sole jumps meeting in Britain. Plenty of flat action to keep you entertained coming from Haydock, Ripon, Chelmsford and Newmarket. In Ireland, they race over both codes with the jumping coming from Listowel and the flat action at the Curragh. No runners for the team today and it could be a quiet week next week if the weather does what it plans to do!

Yesterday we had just the one runner make the trip to Worcester, the journey was not as straight forward as normal due to the motorway being closed due to flooding - but we got there! Micronormous ran in the third race, she never looked to be travelling as strongly as she did on her run before that, but the ground did go a little softer than ideal for her. But she kept galloping all the way to the line.

The Nigel Twiston-Davies team came out on top in our race which i'm sure would've felt like a bittersweet success after losing their 2002 Grand National winning hero Bindaree. Sam Twiston-Davies posted on twitter that morning that the team had lost the star at the age of 30. The horse came at the right time for the Twiston Davies family as just before his run in the national, Nigel was looking to retire at the end of the season as things weren't quite going their way. Sometimes you just think horses know when to perform and it's a good job Bindaree did at the time, as it kept the Twiston-Davies family going.

Last night in the Women's Super League, Chelsea had a staggering victory of 7-0 vs Crystal Palace which continued their winning start to the campaign. Luton and Plymouth were playing last night also and it was Plymouth who came out on top with a 3-1 win. Luton came into this game with back to back league wins for the first time since December but the Plymouth team were too good on the night. The Premier League action continues today, with plenty of action.
