Quiet Wednesday

Another quiet day for the stable today before we head back racing tomorrow. But the jumps action takes a day off and the flat cards come from Musselburgh, Catterick and Kempton with Nottingham being abandoned due to areas of standing water on the track. In Ireland, they have action over both cards today with jumping at Sligo and flat action at Bellewstown. 

Today is a penultimate declaration stage for the Arc and we will be able to see the likely field for the race, with supplementary entries added at this point also. The race is set to take place at Longchamp at the weekend on Sunday which ITV will be covering. 

Harry Cobden is set to return to action on Thursday at Warwick with just the one ride as he looks to return after a spell on the side-lines since July when he was unseated on his mount and suffered from a torn ligament in his knee. He's mentioned he will be taking it steady and not rushing into anything too soon especially for the first month especially with a long season ahead. Last years champion jockey currently sits in ninth at the moment. 

Plenty of football action last night and Arsenal secured their first win in the new Champions League format as they overcame PSG at Emirates stadium with a final score of 2-0. The Champions League continues tonight.
