It was an action packed Saturday, with lots of exciting jumps racing to watch. The jumps meetings continue to dominate today with meetings coming from Ffos Las and Sandown. In Ireland, they race over the jumps at Naas.
We head to Ffos Las with four runners today all with Jack Tudor on board. Gold In The Rivers makes his stable debut for Pond House in the 12:10pm Novices’ Hurdle over 1mile 7f. There is a couple of nice looking horses in this race, but he is a nice type, has form over hurdles and has run against some classy types, he goes nicely at home. Shot Boii runs in the 1:15pm Handicap Chase over 2miles 7f He’s such a character and is admirably consistent. He has form at the track and will like the ground, if he gets into a nice rhythm he should go well.
Doors Breaker runs in the 3:00pm Handicap Chase over 2miles he makes his stable debut for us today and chasing debut, he has won over hurdles before and he goes well at home. Chauffeur Driven ends the day to run in the 3:35pm Novices’ Handicap Hurdle over 2miles 4f he was a little disappointing on the back end of last season but he did run well at the course when last there. It’s a drop back in trip which I think he will prefer and the better conditions should suit.
Sandown look to have a good card on this afternoon with the Veteran's Handicap Chase taking place at 3:25pm, although disappointingly only a small field with four runners the ground is playing it's part at the moment, but even so you can easily make a case for all four of the runners.
Premier League action continues for the football with Man U vs. Leicester, Nottingham Forest vs. Newcastle, Tottenham Hotspur vs. Ipswich all kicking off at 2pm with the later game coming from Chelsea vs. Arsenal at 4:30pm. But today, I'm actually making my first trip to watch a rugby match to watch Wales Vs. Figi play at the Principality Stadium - I married into a Welsh family who are very passionate about the Welsh rugby - so best I start learning fast!
I found a book called "How to solve 50% of your problems" - So I bought two of them!
Have a great Sunday!
