Delface (FR)

Delface is a four year old gelding by Della Francesca, sire of horses such as Cristal Bonus (Grade 2 Pendil Novices Chase winner), Divin Bere (runner-up at the Cheltenham and Aintree Festivals) and Valseur du Granval.  Described as immature by his former trainer, he stepped up markedly on his first 2 outings in the winter to win a Wexford Maiden hurdle on Gold Cup day on soft/heavy ground beating Gordon Elliott and Joseph O'Brien trained runners. He is clearly improving and I was delighted to snap him up at the Ascot Sales.

The video of his most recent success where he showed tremendous grit and determination can be viewed by clicking on the following link: Race Video >>>>

He is a gorgeous model as you can see from the picture above, with a lovely step.  He has a great attitude and I bought him with a view to going summer jumping.  He is a super jumper with winning form and is a horse with plenty of potential for the future.  Furthermore, he represents excellent value for money and will give any potential owner plenty of enjoyment.

Friday Night Light (FR)

I am delighted to offer a ½ share in exciting novices’ hurdle prospect Friday Night Light.  I bought him from the French sales in November as an entire and immediately had him gelded.  It took him a little while to get over this, hence he has not run since.  He is fine now though, has schooled well over timber at home and will be making his hurdling debut when the new season gets underway.

He had some good form on the flat in France, winning over 1m4½f at Compiegne in March while he was also placed at top tracks such as Maisons-Laffitte and Saint Cloud and he could mix hurdling with running on the level in this country where he would have an official mark in the high 80’s.

I saw this filly at the Cheltenham sales and immediately fell in love with her!  As well as being a lovely looker, she also has a very good pedigree being by super-sire Presenting out of a winning point-to-pointer, Carrigeen Lunaria.  There are plenty of winners in her extended pedigree including the promising recent point-to-point and hurdle winner Benatar.

She is a beautiful stamp of a horse, will have no problem jumping hurdles and will make a super chaser in time.  Furthermore, as she is un-named, you can choose the name yourself!

Shantou is a sire that I like very much and have done well with in the past (with the likes of Ballynagour, Our Father and Taj Badalandabad) and I have high hopes for this three year old.  He is a super looking fellow and has a lovely pedigree being a half-brother to useful point-to-point, hurdle and chase winner Court Red Handed and hurdle winner Clontarf.

He is still a big baby and has some more growing to do, but he looks like a super prospect for the future. 50% Share remaining.
