There are five meetings today, flat cards at Wetherby, Brighton and Windsor plus jumps cards at Kempton and Towcester.  It seems strange to have a jumps card at Kempton and a flat card at Wetherby!  Tom Scu goes to Kempton for a couple of rides and then he travels onto Towcester for their evening meeting.  Herbert Park finished fourth yesterday at Ludlow but he was beaten a fair way.  He has dropped nine pounds but looks like he needs some more help from the handicapper.  There is a quote from a winning owner Sue Howell yesterday which I love, "putting Richard Johnson up halves your odds but doubles your chances of winning"!

Plumpton put on 485,000 gallons of water on their track since 2nd May ahead of yesterday's fixture.  They also had 12mm of rain on top of this and yet the ground was still good to firm!  There is rain forecast this week and all of the racecourses will be praying they get their share from the heavens!

I hope you all followed me with my football bets?!  I had six over the weekend and five of them won!  You guessed it though, my team, West Ham let us all down.  Mind you they did get murdered by Liverpool.  The last game of football ever to be played at White Hart Lane was yesterday and Spurs beat Manchester United 2-1.  I don't like these new stadiums that are being built by clubs.  You are too far away from the pitch and there seems to be no atmosphere.  When I used to go to Upton Park and a player used to take a corner he would run up from the crowd!  Times have changed.  Chelsea play Watford tonight so there will be big celebrations at Stamford Bridge.  Watford are 12/1 but I think I will save my money!

Did you see the punter who did a back flip from a standing position at Killarney?  They caught him on an ATR camera and I am guessing he backed the winner!  I can just about punch the air these days!

South Korean Kim Si-Woo won the golf players championships at 21.  He wooed the crowd and shot a final round of 3 under par, 69.

If vegetarians love animals so much, why do they eat all their food?!  Have a nice day.
