     Work runs at Worcester Tonight
Today there are six meetings, flat cards at Goodwood, Haydock, Bath, Musselburgh and Pontefract plus a jumps cards at Worcester.  David runs Work in the 8.50pm, a 2m4f mares handicap hurdle with Tom Scu on board.  She ran well on the flat last week over 2 miles at Chepstow but her runs over hurdles have been disappointing so far.  She should be able to win off a mark of 91 so looks to have a good chance tonight.  Gabrial the Great finished third at Warwick yesterday and it was a good run but the winner won fairly easily and it was fairly tight between all the other runners.  His handicap mark of 134 looks quite high and is above his last winning mark so hopefully he may drop and pound or two and he can be even more competitive again next time.

Punters lost £1.8 billion in the gaming machines in the betting shops.  I know it is these machines that keep the betting shops going but I do find it hard to believe when I just see people sitting filling them up.  It looks like a drug to me, they must think they win but I doubt they do.

I do hope you worked out my clues yesterday and my horse was Big Orange!  I see that Wayne Rooney is not in the England squad for next months games against Scotland and France.  I was going to say that manager Gareth Southgate is thinking about the future but he does have an old age pensioner in the squad, Jermain Defoe!  So his decision on Rooney is not about age, like me, he must think he is not the player he was.  I see Chelsea defender David Luiz said he took a big gamble coming back to Chelsea and a pay cut.  His wages went down to £180,000 a week, how do they live on such poor pay?!  Surely it is about time that manager Gary Monk got a job with one of the top teams?  He has just quit Leeds after doing a good job with them.  I could be, the problem is that he speaks good English!

Tiger Woods has said he has not felt this good in years as he is recovering from his fourth back operation.  He will never be the great player he once was and that is how I like to remember him.

I went to the shop the other day to buy six cans of sprite.  Only when I got home did I realise I'd picked 7up!  Have a nice day.
