Rathlin Rose runs at Fontwell Today

There are just two meetings today, both jumps cards at Cheltenham and Fontell.  David has runners at both tracks.  Rathlin Rose runs in the 2.05pm at Fontwell, a 3m3f handicap chase.  It is a big race and it is his first run of the season but he won a couple of times last season and even with a big weight we expect a big run.  David Noonan rides.  David also runs Great Tempon in the 2.40pm handicap hurdle over 2m1f.  He has some form last season and with 10st 6lb on his back he could also run well with David Noonan in the saddle.  You may remember he was Gerry Supple's mount in the charity race a last month and so hopefully that second place will have put him spot on for this afternoon.  At Cheltenham David has one runner, Vaniteux in the 2.25pm Grade 2 chase over 1m7f .  We are a big price at 14/1 and it is a very competitive race.  Fox Norton in a hot favourite at 6/5 for the Tizzard yard and he has the best form on show but Vaniteux is a very good horse and we hope he can run well.

Tom Scu has picked up a good spare ride on Misterton in the Greatwood hurdle.  Again this is a very competitive 2 mile handicap hurdle and Misterton is a 10/1 chance.  There is a lot of money about for the Nicky Henderson trained Jenkins in this race and he is best priced at 4/1 now.

Where does anyone think I will be at 4pm this afternoon?!  You have guessed it, in front of the TV watching my team West Ham play away at Watford.  Let's hope our manager David Moyes makes a good start.  I know a lot of my West Ham mates are not that keen on him as a manager.

What is a sidearm?  It is a long stick you can throw a ball a long way with and your dog chases it!  Well the England coach is using it to hurl balls at over 85mph.  Graham Gooch first used it for Essex and it is now a regular in professional nets.  I would certainly not want a cricket ball thrown at me from one of those slings!

What have Alexander the Great, Attila the Hun and Krusty the Crown got in common?  They all share the same middle name!  Where do I get them from!  Have a nice day.
