Qulinton
There are five meetings on today. Four on the flat at Chester, Newmarket, Haydock and Wolverhampton plus a very good jumps card at Market Rasen. There is £120,000 of prize money on offer at the jumps meeting and there are two Listed races worth £28,475 and £17,085 to the winners. Qulinton runs in the Listed handicap chase and goes off a mark of 135. He has won off this mark before and Tom Scu rides at 11st 1lb. He could run well at a big price if in good form today. Don't forget he won the buig Summer plate chase at the course last year and also ran a good effort in the same race earlier this summer so does seem to like the course. Looking at all of the Market Rasen card, it looks like it could be a good day for the champ AP. Mind you, everyday is a good day for AP!
If you are going to Newmarket today make sure you get there early as Frankel is going to gallop just before racing. Tom Queally will ride the best horse in the world over 9 furlongs with Bullet Train for company. It will all be shown on Racing UK which is a real treat before the action gets underway.
It seems everyone was watching the golf last night and David had a night in watching the Ryder Cup. I see jockey Will Kennedy said "thats it for me, I'm off home to watch the golf!" I was glued to the action yesterday although it looks to me like they have cut the rough down so much that you can end up here and still have a shot to the green without too many problems. On any British courses they would not have found many of the tee shots, especially Tiger Woods'! Thinking about it, he is probably called Woods as he spends most of his time in the woods! It wasn't a great start for the Europeans but the score is only 5-3 so still everything to play for and I can't wait for the action to start again later.
My days football bets are Stoke 19/20 and Sunderland 11/10. Have a nice day.
