It was a good day for the stable again yesterday with an across the card double at Sandown and Exeter.  Tanerko Emery got up to win by half a length at Sandown.  Conor O'Farrell gave our winner a very confident ride and he looks sure to be able to win again.  He has now won two of his three starts since joining Pond House, while also finsihing runner up at Cheltenham in a competitive race.  He is a horse to look forward to for the rest of the season and it was great to get another winner for his owners, Walters Plant Hire Ltd.  Home Run won the first race at Exeter and gave young Sam Welton his first winner for David his second career winner.  It was only a moderate race but he should be able to win again if kept to this sort of grade.  He is entered for Taunton next week and could turn out there has he escapes a penalty for winning yesterday.  Sam joined our team back in August and was having only his second ride for the stable so it was great to see him get off the mark.  He did pick up a three day ban from the stewards but he gave our four year old a nice ride and hopefully there should be more to come!

Today there are five meetings around the country and David has runnnrs at three of them.  There are four over the sticks at Aintree, Chepstow, Sandown and Wetherby and one on the all-weather at Lingfield.  We have three runners at Aintree and Problema Tic and Swing Bill tackle the Grand National fences in the Becher Chase.  Check out the video below riding on board with Problema Tic and Tom Scu following Swing Bill.  Problema Tic ran a good race to finish fifth at Cheltenham last time while Swing Bill won at the Paddy Power meeting.  It will be interesting to see how they both get on this afternoon.  Weekend Millionair is our third runner at Aintree and he is looking to bounce back from a slightly disappointing affort over three miles at Ffos Las last time.  The drop back in drip will help this afternoon and he should run well.

David also has three runners at Chepstow, Big Occasion in the Beginners chase, Sona Sasta in the handicap chase and Top Gamble in the bumper.  We have two runners at Sandown with Amigo making his Pond House debut in the Pertemps race and His Excellency running in the Tingle Creek.  It looks very competitive racing today with the big race, the Tingle Creek at Sandown featuring the champ Sprinter Sacre being tackled by the unbeaten over fences Sanctuaire.  It looks a big ask for our four year old, His Excellency and we are probably hoping for some nice place prize moeny at best but as we saw from Exeter yesterday and Fingal Bay running out through the wing, anything can happen!  The ground is also very testing at most of the tracks and this can sometimes throw up some funny results so I am looking forward to sitting back, relaxing and enjoying the action!

I see Frankie Dettori is being lined up to go on Celebrity Big Brother.  I guess at least we will be able to see how popular Frankie is with the public.  It is the phone calls thats sort out the results, mind you there was a lot of dopes in the last one!

My football bets for today are West Ham 2/1, Swansea 17/20, Southampton evens.  Have a nice day.
