What a great day for the stable yesterday with no fewer than five winners coming from our eighteen runners across four meetings and under five different jockeys at a strike rate of 28%!  Not to mention a further six of our runners reaching the frame.  The higlight of the day was obviously Dynaste (pictured above) who produced yet another performance out of the top drawer to win the Grade One Feltham Novices' Chase in effortless fashion and in the process extend his unbeaten record over fences to three.  I thought that Grands Crus also produced a good performance to finish third in the feature King George VI Chase on the card after a less than ideal preparation.

Too Generous jumped better than on her hurdling debut when scoring by thirteen lengths at Fontwell yesterday under amateur jockey Mikey Ennis and this was certainly a promising effort from our tough four year old filly who has now won three of her four starts.  Home Run made it three wins on the bounce at Wincanton under Sam Welton and I am told that the owner (Martin) enjoyed a quiet Bud to celebrate, while Close House completed the double at the course when successful in the handicap hurdle under Paddy Brennan.  Top Gamble was our winner at Ffos Las as he coasted to victory in the bumper under young conditional jockey Kieron Edgar in the manner of a very nice horse.

It is another good day's racing this afternoon so I would advise anyone that is still enjoying their Christmas break to go racing...afterall there has been nothing of any note on the television!  There are four meetings on, two over the sticks at Kempton and Wetherby (subject to an inspection) and two all-weather flat cards at Lingfield and Wolverhampton.  The Kempton card is another cracker with exciting novice chaser Simonsig topping the bill, while the stable has His Excellency in the Desert Orchid Chase.  While His Excellency has a bit to find on official figures he is still relatively lightly raced over fences and appears to be on an upward curve.

On the football front it would seem that at the age of 34 you should hang up your boots...at least that appears to be the message for Frank Lampard from Chelsea!  Surely Frank would be more than capable of doing a job for someone?

Meanwhile Harry Redknapp had a go at the referee after QPR lost 2-1at home to Aston Villa.  The problem is, I think that 'Arry is right - the referees seem to be getting too many decisions completely wrong of late.  I suppose he will probably be fined by the FA, but why not let the referees on television tell us about these decisions?
