The stable continues in electric form with another hat-trick yesterday courtesy of Buddy Bolero at Exeter, while up at Musselburgh both Swing Bowler and Home Run obliged.  Swing Bowler (pictured above), a daughter of that great racemare Lady Cricket was certainly the star of the show, winning the feature handicap hurdle in Scotland in good style and in the process extended her unbeaten run to five.  This was only her third start over hurdles and she is certainly open to plenty of further improvement, while she also shaped as though she would stay further...she is clearly a very exciting prospect.

Home_Run_Musselburgh_webMeanwhile the amazing Home Run (pictured right) was able to land his fifth consecutive race (since 7th December!), this time under conditional jockey Francis Hayes.  That is now the fourth different claiming jockey to have won on him since he started his hot streak!

Buddy Bolero (pictured below) made a winning seasonal reappearance at Exeter on his chasing debut under Tom Scudamore and is another who looks like he will prove even better when tackling a longer trip.

There are four meetings taking place this afternoon, over the sticks at Ayr and THREE all-weather flat meetings at Wolverhampton, Lingfield and Kempton...who on earth thought that one up?!  The stable has no runners this afternoon.

Another amazing performance from Phil "The Power" Taylor yesterday as he claimed an unprecedented sixteenth World Darts Championship against Dutchman Michael Van Gerwen, winning 7-4 in an exciting final.  It amazes me the longevity of these players when you consider the extreme physical exertions they place upon their bodies!  Van Gerwen is an amazing talent, but I don't know why the Dutchman doesn't slow down a bit...he does seem to rush his arrers.  I think the best bit though was the young ladies that led the players onto the podium - they both had double tops!

It seems to me that whenever Manchester United need a goal or two they just send on Robin Van Persie.  That is exactly what happened as they beat Wigan 4-0 and the striker is now as short as 5/4 to be the league's top scorer (and that looks to be a good price).
