This afternoon the stable has one runner at Huntingdon, Grand Exit (pictured above, nearside) who takes part in the mares' novices' hurdle at 2.50pm. Our six year old has had just one run over hurdles and performed well to finish second at Market Rasen in July on soft ground. Again the conditions are going to prove pretty testing but she looks to have a solid chance under stable jockey Tom Scudamore. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see champion jockey A P McCoy have a good day as he has plenty of fancied rides. Meanwhile, the other jumps card takes place up north at Sedgefield and there are two all-weather flat meetings completing the day's action.
I wonder how many times Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum has a 50/1 winner? The same question also applies to double champion jockey Paul Hanagan - well, the pair of them had exactly that yesterday at Meydaan when Fityaan proved a shock winner of the five furlong handicap...it's a funny old game!
In the Recognise Me? section of Horse Play in today's Racing Post, there is a picture of the back of David's head. It was the receding hairline that gives it away for me...it's a worrying job training racehorses!
It looks as though our box drivers will be kept busy tomorrow with plenty of entries at Warwick and Wetherby. The big race of the day is teh £60,000 Betfred Chase over 3m5f at Warwick.

What on earth are A C Milan thinking?! Why would they make a bid of £24 million for Mario Balotelli? Personally, if I were on the board at Manchester City I would drive him over there personally! I reckon his departure would only help City improve - maybe we will find out?

I can't believe that Audley Harrison is going to fight (and I use the term loosely) again, but the former Olympic champion is going into prize fighting next month. You may recall (if you didn't blink!) that Harrison was beaten in 82 seconds by David Price on his last venture into the ring...you would think that he would be too embarrassed to do that again!
