David has a winner at Plumpton yesterday courtesy of Franklin Roosevelt and Tom Scu.  He won in game fashion getting up to win by a neck close home.  That made it three wins from his last four starts an he has been a revelation since the blinkers were fitted.  Remember he deposited AP on the first fence at Leicester only a few runs back, that seems like a distant memory now!  He is a thorough stayer who loves the quicker ground and he should continue to give us lots of fun over the summer.  E Street Boy ran a bit of a disappointing race to finish 8th although his rating of 120 does look plenty high enough.  On Saturday Street Entertainer was running a good race in the Swinton hurdle before a blunder at the second last cost him all chance and Pooole Master ran a much better race to finish fourth in the chase.

In yesterday's action, Aidan O'Brien won another Derby trial, this time at Leopardstown.  Mind you, Battle of Marengo was 13/2 on!  I suppose it will be best to wait and see which horse Joseph O'Brien chooses of the Ballydoyle team before we know which one they think has the best chance in the Derby!

Today there are five meetings, four on the flat at Doncaster, Musselburgh, Wolverhampton and Windsor and a jumps card at Towcester this evening.  David has two runners, Weather Babe and Knight of Noir and both should like the stiff Towcester track.  Weather Babe is two from two over hurdles and both of these wins have come at this venue.  Knight of Noir is making his Pond House debut in the Bumper.  He has won a point to point at Larkhill and should appreciate this track where his stamina will come into play.  Fingers crossed it could be a double for Bathwick!

There was a big celebration at Old Trafford yesterday.  I say old, there looks to be a few players past theri sell by date!  Maybe Sir Alex got out at the right time.  He said after their win against Swansea that Rooney is not leaving.  Surely that is up to the new manager or have I missed something?!  Well done to Man Utd on winning the Premier league.  It could be an interesting summer to see all the developments.

In the golf Tiger Woods wins the Players Championship at Sawgrass by two shots.  He seems to be gradually getting back to his old form and soon players could be playing for second place!

Wigan look like playing another cup final tomorrow night when they take on Arsenal at the Emirates.  Both clubs need to win so it promises to be a good watch.
