There are just two meetings today, a good flat card at York and a jumps card at Fontwell.  David has The Tracey Shuffle running in the 3.45pm handicap hurdle at Fontwell.  Tom Scu rides at 11st 11lb and our seven year old was third at Perth last time out so he is certainly well travelled!  It looks an open race with over £6000 in prize money on offer.  Rain is forecast and this should not inconvenience him so fingers crossed is should run well.

With the World Cup qualifying matches taking place at the moment it is really messing up my football!  There are no Premier League matches over the weekend so it has been quiet in the Barnes household!  At last my wife can watch what she wants on the TV!  She does not know there are no Premier League matches on mind you, she thinks that I am just being thoughtful!

It seems that the Aussie cricket team have been in England for years!  We now have the ODI series, that is if the rain keeps away!  As soon as this is over they are off back to Aussie land for another test series, so you think there is too much cricket?  I used to like watching us beat the Aussies but it is happening too often at the moment!

I see that even after his defeat in the US Open Tennis Andy Murray is still 28/1on  to win the BBC sports personality of the year.  He should still win it after winning Wimbledon this year but 28/1 on is a bit too short a price for me!  England footballers were better odds at 14/1 on to beat Moldova on Friday night!  Have a nice day.
