Sunday Jottings

There are just two flat cards at Epsom and Musselburgh today.  There is fair prize money on offer at Epsom and most of the top jocks are riding.  Ryan Moore, Tom Queally and Richard Hughes to name just three.  I was just thinking it is like going to a football match and all the top players being in one team!  Racing constantly gives you a chance to see all the star jockeys and there are not many other sports you can really say that about.  Talking about other sports, I see that Kieran Fallon got injured playing squash in the week.  When I had my heart attack my doctor said play any aport except for squash!  More people seem to get injured or have heart attacks playing squash than any other sport!

I see that Tom Malone has bought a horse for Andy Stewart and Jeremy Kyle.  He said that this son of Beneficial is the best £40,000 buy he has ever made, bold words from Tom!  I think if I was him I would have waited until the horse had won!  I hope Tom never appears on the Jeremy Kyle show, mind you Tom can talk for Ireland!

Today there is some action at Wembley stadium but it is not for football as we know it but for the American version.  The Minnesota Vikings take on Pittsburgh.  I am told by one of my mates that Adrian Peterson is the one to keep an eye on.  He has already made 9, 130 rushing yards and I am told that he wants to be the next James Bond!  I bet you are all impressed by my knowledge of American football although I am not sure it will catch on in England.

Sunderland versus Liverpool if the first Premier League match on today and it will be interesting to see how the Sunderland players will perform without Di Canio now they are not under so much pressure!
