If it is jump racing you like then you are in the wrong country!  There are three meetings taking place this afternoon, all of them on the flat at Musselburgh, Salisbury and Windsor, although there is a mixed card at Limerick in Ireland.  Unsurprisingly the most prize money on offer today is at the Irish card, although somewhat surprisingly for a Monday, all of the meetings seem to have generated good sized fields.

Anyway, despite the misty start to the day, I have a nice picture to bring you of recent French import, exciting novice hurdler Dell'Arca who was working in company with former Irish point-to-pointer Count Danilo.

Today we Continue our series of interviews with the stable staff.  In this latest installment Mike Vince talks with Zoe Martin about her horse to follow for the coming season and you can see who it is by clicking the video below...anyway, I understand from David that his blog (which will be online a little later this afternoon) will be featuring the views of Oliver Defew who is an assistant at Pond House.

There was a great result yesterday for Northern based trainer Brian Ellison as he landed the Irish Cesarewitch at the Curragh with Montefeltro.  I always got on quite well with Brian - he was always straight forward and would always spare time to talk with you.  It is good to see a stable of that size win a big race on centre stage.

I was quite amused to see the tweet of Josh Apiafi in this morning's Racing Post.  Josh, who worked at Pond House many years ago said 'Twenty years ago, with a lot more ability and bottle, I'd have loved a spin in the Velka Parbubicka' - he forgets, I have seen him ride and he was short on both counts!  Only joking Josh...

Despite missing the first few weeks of the season, A P McCoy is on his imperious way to another jockeys' championship.  He is currently 40 winners ahead of Noel Fehily, although Fehily has a very impressive level stakes profit.  If you had backed all of his mounts this season, you would be showing a profit of £88.17 to a £1 stake.  He has had 53 winners from 174 rides at a very healthy 30% strike rate, easily the best of all of the leading jockeys...including AP!

There was a great final round of 63 from David Lynn to win the Portugal Masters golf tournament.  That is Lynn's second success on the European tour - any round of 63 is a great effort, but to do it in the final round is exceptional so well done to him.

With all the problems going on around the world I was amazed to see that Katie Price (aka Jordan) has made the front page of the Sun newspaper for the last two days.  Does anyone really give a monkeys, or am I the odd one out?!  It seems to me that the less talent you have, the more publicity you seem to get...just ask my old friend Helen Flanagan!

It's a Monday morning and my wife says that I got out of bed the wrong side!  Have a nice day...
