It is a very exciting day for Mr K Edgar who is having his first ever ride under rules this afternoon at Exeter. Kieron is a young Scottish lad who has been competing in pony races back home and he makes his debut in the Devon track's first race aboard MCP's own Sarah's Boy...I wonder how many times he had to clean his car to get the ride?! Anyway, I am sure that the whole yard will be watching closely and cheering for Kieron, and I am sure that you will join me in wishing the young Scot luck.
When I came past Exeter racecourse on the way to the yard this morning it was absolutely pouring with rain so at least the going should be perfect jumping ground. With the exception of the beginners chases, it looks to be a very competitive card and I am looking forward to seeing the action.

I don't think that I would want to upset Sir Alex Ferguson. Can you imagine training for him and then giving him a bad tip? It looks like Wayne Rooney will be on his way soon - it has been said that Sir Alex and his striker have not spoken for a month now - I would love to be a fly on the wall at the team talks! The bookmakers reckon that Rooney is a 6/4 chance to leave United in January - personally I think they need to sign some new players as the current team is getting old and doesn't really look likely to challenge for this season's Premiership.

Martin was the first person to inspect Cheltenham's relocated penultimate fence on the Friday of their Showcase Meeting last week. There had been concerns about the siting of the fence, and how it would jump, but of course Cheltenham had done their homework and there really was nothing to worry about. Well done to the team at Prestbury Park for another excellent meeting.

Tom Scudamore has been down this morning to ride out a few lots and to school a few over fences. He was aboard high class chaser I'msingingtheblues during first lot and below you will see the pair in action. I was also able to capture Piraya (partnered by Conor O'Farrell) - I was halfway up a tree to get these pictures, so Ed Whitaker eat your heart out!
