Going up the Gallops
Today there are two meetings, a flat card at Bath and a good jumping card at Kempton. I am most looking forward to the 4.25pm race at Kempton where Rock on Ruby takes on The New One. If you are going to Kempton you will hear a noisy Italian if The New One wins, good luck Gino! David does not have any runners today but we have a few entries in the coming days so keep checking back here for all the news.
The England cricket team have gone away on a boot camp. I wonder what the olden day cricketers would have thought of boot camps? When I see some of the old test matches they seem to be carrying a bit of weigh but captain Alistair Cook still says they always discuss the game over a beer or two so some of the old traditions have not all gone! Does anyone fancy watching the Test in Melbourne in December 26th-30th, I do! A bottle of Fosters sitting on the bounry sounds good to me!
In the football England have lined up a couple of good friendlies next month. I say friendlies, one of them is against Germany! No match against Germany is a friendly! The other match will have four players from the opposition who play in our leagues, so it is nearly a home game for Chile!
Aston Villa take on Tottenham today at 4pm. There should be lots of goals as both teams seem to have trouble defending! Spurs need to bounce back from a 3-0 defeat at home to West Ham. I have to keep mentioning that result, it might be our only away win of the season! Have a good day!
