Hats off to Jamie Goldstein for agreeing to be interviewed by motor mouth Matt Chapman on Attheraces yesterday. Matt was not at all happy with the ride that Jamie gave Moonwolf in the 2.20pm race at Fontwell yesterday. During a close finish, it would seem that unless the jockey is belting seven bells out of the horse with a shillelagh, then Matt is convinced he is not trying! Chapman is like a dog with a bone when he goes on one, so credit to Jamie for trying to explain to him that the horse is a bleeder (not unlike Matt!), and has to do everything on the bridle as he will not find anything for a good hiding.
Furthermore, the stewards did take a look at the race and decided that no further action was warranted. I have seen Matt take on our mechanical horse, and he even looks dangerous on that! Noisy and dangerous...I think that sums Matt up to a tee - there is no doubt that he is good for racing, but he is probably one of the worst judges in the world!

Tom Scudamore rode a nice winner for Charlie Longsdon aboard Sir Ian at Worcester yesterday. He won by no less than 6 lengths despite a rise of 10lbs in the weights. Sadly for Tom, he looks as though he will be put away until the spring now as he needs good ground and a break between races - I am sure that Tom would have been looking forward to riding this progressive chaser again.

Tom Scudamore was down to school a few yesterday, and pictured below you can see him jumping hurdles aboard Kazzene in company with Raslan (Kieron), while Conor O'Farrell also schooled Jazz Age over hurdles.
