I see the yard has a top new addition to the Pond House team David bought the top lot at Newbury's sale on Friday night, costing £450,000, the second most expensive horse ever bought for jumping at the sales.  At that sort of money I am not sure I would want him to come out of his box?!  He is called Un temps Pour Tout which apparently means time for everyone.  He has some top French form and I am pleased to report he is settling in well at Pond House.

There are just two jumps meetings today, at Leicester and Carlisle but David does not have any runners.  The Lucinda Russel yard is in good form and they could be ones to follow at Carlisle this afternoon.  I have already mentioned about our trip to London on Thursday for MCP winning his Sir Peter O'Sullevan award but I wanted to mention it again because I have a couple of photos from the day.  As mush as it was a wonderful day for Martin receiving his award it was a great day for raising money for charity as well.  Myself and Martin are pictured alongisde Tom Queally's saddle on which he rode the mighty Frankel to victory and also AP's boots, which he wore to ride his 4000th winner.  J P McManus bought the saddle for £31,000 and AP's boots were bought for £8,000.  JP also bought the portrait of MCP for £11,000 and kindly gave it to Martin as well. These were just part of a fantastic sum raised for six charities on the day so well done to all involved.

While at the London do I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Hetherington.  He is the man behind Hetherington Top Hats and he could wear one anywhere and not look out of place!  I see there was an advert for his Top Hats in the Racing Post, so if you ever need one this is the place to go!

In the football it is a big day for the Spurs manager Andre Villas Boas.  Luckily they play at home to Man Utd today at 12 noon!  They are not expected to beat Man Utd so he might get another week to try and sort the mess out!  Have a nice day.
