With the abandonment of Bangor this afternoon it looks like being a quiet day with just two meetings taking place on the all-weather at Southwell and Wolverhampton. Unsurprisingly the stable doesn't have any runners today. Un Temps Pour Tout was far from disgraced when finishing second on his debut for the yard at Haydock on Saturday behind Zandy Man. The pair of them finished 22 lengths clear of the third and it looked to be a good race (as it should be considering it's Grade Two status) - Un Temps Pour Tout looks as though he will be suited by a step up in trip and is sure to win plenty of races on this form.

The next runners from the yard will come at Leicester tomorrow when top bumper performer Legacy Gold makes her second start over hurdles. Below is a shot taken recently on the gallops when she worked in company with recent Wincanton winner Baltimore Rock - as you can see, Legacy Gold (left) is on good terms with herself.

David Moyes' woes continued yesterday as Manchester United were beaten 3-1 by Chelsea. Chelsea were not at their best so it tells you how much work United have to finish in the top four...I think they will struggle to qualify for Europe. They definitely need Rooney and Van Persie back as soon as possible (as well as another 4 or 5 quality players) - they have players on their team who would struggle to get into any other Premier League side. Unfortunately Moyes was always on a hiding to nothing.

I must tell my bookmaker to stop me from ever backing the England cricket team again. I cannot believe how the side have managed to get so bad so quickly - they can't bat or bowl! I am not convinced that the home side have improved that much.

Ronnie O'Sullivan successfully regained his Masters snooker title last night by beating Mark Selby 10-4, picking up £200,000 for his efforts. Ronnie Wood and Damien Hurst (painter & decorator) were present to see the Rocket win - at times during the match he was unplayable. The word genius would definitely apply to Ronnie...

I bet that Rory McIlroy was more than a little gutted this morning after he was beaten by a single shot in the HSBC championship in Abu Dhabi. He received a two shot penalty on Saturday when he did not take complete relief on a drop ball. He picked up his penalty after the round was over and it has made the difference between him winning a fortune and winning a small fortune!

I reckon that Spurs stand-in manager Tim Sherwood should be the next England manager! What has he done to get Adebayor playing at his best again? It seems the enigmatic player just needed an arm around him to show that he was loved! Spurs are currently tied for fourth place in the Premiership.
