I am pleased to report that we now have the Racing Post's excellent video Stable Tour of Pond House in our media vault. It is a very interesting piece with a good interview from David looking at his prospects for the forthcoming National Hunt season - it is well worth a look if you have a few minutes spare, and you can do so by clicking here...
Talking of the Racing Post, I was pleased to see that Lee Mottershead took my comments about the mechanical horse all in good part. According to The Dikler in yesterday's publication, Lee is going to cut down his intake of oats!

Anyway, harking back to that article again featuring AP - he was moaning about how he rode with a broken collar bone years ago after getting the vet to x-ray him on a kitchen floor! I remember another champion jockey doing something similar after fracturing his wrist...he wore a protector on the effected hand, and was barely able to get on or off a horse, yet passed the doctor by showing him his other wrist! These jockeys are hard men, and it takes a really nasty injury to keep them out of the saddle - so stop complaining AP...I once played table tennis with a cold and never complained about it at all...well, maybe a little bit!
The champ was at his imperious best again yesterday aboard Drill Sergeant. The five year old dropped from first to last on the paddock bend as he tried to pull himself up, but AP managed to get him back into the race and actually coaxed his mount to victory. If you backed this one you certainly owe AP a drink, or maybe a phone call when it comes to Sports Personality Of The Year?
