With the abandonment of Ffos Las earlier in the week we are left with a jumps card at Market Rasen and a 'Jumpers Bumper' meeting at Kempton on the all-weather. The meeting at Kempton gives the jump jockeys a chance to pretend they are flat jockeys! The stable has one runner at the replacement meeting, The Bailiff who makes his racecourse debut in the Standard Open National Hunt flat race at 1.30pm. Tom Scudamore takes the ride.

I was saddened to learn that there is the possibility of Wimbledon greyhound track being closed down. I spent many happy days down at the track during my childhood and have seen some great dogs and races - I don't understand how this could happen as Wimbledon is one of the busiest tracks in the country and it hosts many of the top events. I guess it shows just what trouble the sport is in in this country. Sir Mark Prescott is one of the men campaigning to keep the track open, let's hope he meets with success as the closure of Wimbledon would be a massive blow. If they were to close, you would have to fear for the remainder of the tracks in the country.

I will be glued to the television today for a fascinating rematch between Arsenal and Liverpool. The two teams played in the Premier League recently with Liverpool destroying Arsenal 5-1. It is the fifth round of the FA Cup and I'm sure the Gunners will be keen to exact their revenge on the Scousers. Even so, they have plenty to do to turn the tables - Liverpool looked unstoppable in their last clash. Kick off is at 4pm so you know where I will be! Have a nice weekend.
