Baltimore Rock was a ready winner of the two mile handicap hurdle at Ludlow yesterday afternoon under Tom Scudamore. He looks as though there is still a little room for improvement in his jumping, but he looks progressive and possesses decent turn of foot and looks to be a useful prospect. It is good to see the stable in such good form with eight winners and five places from David's last twenty-five runners over the past fortnight. Cheltenham really can't come quickly enough!
It looks to be a decent day's action with three meetings taking place with Sedgefield having passed their early morning inspection. As well as Sedgefield there is another jumps card at Huntingdon and an all-weather flat meeting at Wolverhampton. The stable has two runners this afternoon - Vieux Lion Rouge at Sedgefield and Shotavodka at Huntingdon. Vieux Lion Rouge has a big weight to carry but still looks sure to run a big race under Tom Scudamore. Interestingly, Shotavodka is champion jockey A P McCoy's only ride of the day and you know what they say about jockey's going to a meeting for one ride! To me, all it usually means is that the agent couldn't get any more rides, but I think that is a little unfair in McCoy's case! Anyway, Shotavodka was the highest rated of these over hurdles and with his previous conqueror Holywell winning again yesterday, he must hold decent prospects.
Conditional jockey Kieron Edgar has picked up a nice outside ride aboard Trucker's Darling at Sedgefield. Kieron was aboard when the seven year old won last time, so let's hope it is another good day for the stable and our jockeys.

I really don't know why Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is moaning! His goalie rushed out and took the forward out of the game in Arsenal's match against Bayern Munich last night. You are always going to give away a penalty and get red-carded if you do something like that - he was Wenger's 100th red card...what a milestone! Meanwhile Mesut Ozil missed a penalty and does not look like the player that Arsenal signed - something certainly doesn't look quite right with him.

I watched the old man's marbles yesterday...or should that be Olympic curling? I am really getting into it! We beat World Champions Sweden to reach the finals yesterday to guarantee a medal. It will be the first Olympic gold for 90 years if we can win it, what is more, it was a Scot, David Murdock who put us through! So, they have Celtic, Rangers and a curling player...that will please Sean!
