Saint_John_Henry__By_Old_Vic_gallops_nove13

There are two jumps meetings taking place this afternoon at Huntingdon and Sedgefield.  The stable has three runners at Huntingdon - Saint John Henry, Thomas Junior and Piccadilly Circus.  Saint John Henry (pictured above, left) and Piccadilly Circus are well related geldings who are both making their racecourse debuts today, while I thought that Thomas Junior had a chance based on his solid form in three starts this season.  Tom Scudamore takes the ride aboard all of our runners this afternoon.

Over at Sedgefield it look as though northern trainer Sue Smith could have a good day - she has some good looking chances and the yard is in cracking form.

Well, I enjoyed the Morning Line live from Pond House yesterday and I have to say that I thought David came across extremely well...I really do HAVE to say that!  Of course I am only joking, he did a good job as did the girls, Rosie Clarke and Sarah Buckley who look after Dell' Arca and Dynaste respectively.  It is quite a nerve racking thing to go on live television so well done to everyone involved.  All the Channel 4 Racing team seemed to want to know was what is David's handicap good thing for the Festival.  Personally I think there are a few with decent chances - he has some good young, improving horses at the yard so hopefully it could be our year.  I hope I haven't put the mockers on it!

It's not long now until the Festival, although there are another nineteen preview nights taking place between now and Tuesday week (and those are just the ones I know about!).  Some of them are quite obscure locations - I am thinking of East Garston Village Hall, Ton Pentre Football Club and my personal favourite, the Award Winning Real Ale House in Central London!

I see that all of today's Premier League matches kick off at 4.30pm.  Spurs take on Cardiff and judging by the way the Welsh side defended in their latest match, I could see Tottenham scoring quite a few goals.  Cardiff looks like they will dropping out of the Premiership at the end of the season.  Swansea take on Crystal Palace in a relegation battle - only two points separate the two sides towards the bottom of the league, while also towards the bottom of the table Aston Villa take on Norwich - it should be an interesting afternoon of sport.
