Quiet Sunday...

There are three meetings, all over the sticks at Stratford, Wetherby and Wincanton today.  David just has the one runner, The Wealerdealer at Wincanton in the 4pm race.  He sounds like he is named after Arthur Daley!  Our seven year old did finish second last time out at Market Rasen and with Tom Scu taking over on board we are hopeful of a good run.  In Ireland, the action is at the Curragh and it looks to be a good card.

Things are starting to quieten down a little in the yard now.  With just two weeks of the season left some of our horses have been winding down and enjoying some grass out in the sunshine in the last few days in prepartion for going on their summer holidays. Some horses will go home to their owner while many will stay here and enjoy their down time in the Pond House paddocks.  While some are preparing for their holidays some will be kept going and may head to the Punchestown Festival at the end of the month.  Ballynagour and The Liquidator are horses that already hold entries and there will be a few others that could be joining them.  While some horses will be having a break, some of the horses who go on winter hoidays have just been arriving back at the yard in preparation for a summer jumping campaign.  A few old faces are returning, such as Street Entertainer and Bathwick Man and there are a few new additions to this team as well so David should have a few to run over the summer months.
