Problema Tic - runs at Perth
There are five race meetings on today, the over the sticks at Perth, Taunton and Southwell plus flat cards at Epsom and Catterick. David runs Problema Tic up at Perth in the 5.00pm hndicap chase. He ran okay up at Ayr on his latest start over hurdles and is dropping down the weights but does have to step up on form on recent runs to take a hand in the finish. We have sent travelling head lad Craig Wylie to Scotland as he will understand what the locals are saying, am not talking about you Sean! Keep the Cash is our only other runner of the day but he is running a bit closer to home, at Taunton, in the 5.25pm race, the second race on the card of their evening meeting. He does have to improve on recent form to figure in this race and young Michael Heard is on board.
Purple N Gold ran a cracker to finish second at Ludlow yesterday behind an improving sort, the Philip Hobbs trained August Hill. We were trying to give her 10 pounds so it was a good run and we will probably go up in the weights again! I think the Hobbs team will run August Hill again fairly quickly before the handicapper can have his say so is one to look out for in the coming days. Also in yesterday's action, the seller at Wetherby was interesting. It was won by the David Dennis trained Maller Tree. This horse won at Fakenham on Monday and was bought in for £5,000 and yesterday connections had to go to £10,000 to buy him back. It must have been a great coupl of days but an expensive couple of days! The second horse in that race, Rosslyn Castle was claimed ofr £6,000, it was only a four runner race and the form did not look that special but other people must have thought it was alright!
Chelsea got a good draw in the Champions League semi final last night away to Atletico Madrid. They did however pick up a few injuries and also got a couple of players suspended so it will be hard for them at home in the second leg. The are evens to make the final. Tonight the big match is Real Madrid versus Bayern Munich. It should be a great match and I am looking forward to watching on Sky at 7.45pm.
I was listening to the radio in the acr on my way to Pond House this morning. Why do DJ's have to talk all the time?! I want to listen to music not them laughing at their own jockes all the time! Is it just me getting old?!
I read that the England's ladies water polo team had their best ever win by beating the World Champions last night. I can't remeber who the World Champions are and I am sure a lot of you did not know that, or probably didnt want to know that! Have a nice day.
