One at Aintree

Today we have five meetings, four on the flat at York, Newbury, Newmarket and Hamilton plus a jumps card at Aintree this evening.  David runs Problema Tic at Aintree in the 7.50pm handicap chase.  Our runner is getting down to a mark he can win off but he has not won since June 2013.  He ran okay to finish fourth at Perth last time out but he does have to step up again to take a hand in this fairly competitive race.  In form Tom Scu is on board and if he is iin the mood he could hopefully take a hand in the finish.  The prize money on offer at Aintree is actually bigger than at Newmarket today.  The big race of the day is at York, the 2.45pm Yorkshire Cup.  There is £80,000 up for grabs for the winner of this 14 furlong race.  I would think a lot of jump trainers would like a few of the horses in this race to go hurdling!

Sir Mark Prescott's yard will not be having a runner until June because he has a few health issues with the horses.  The Newmarket trainer has only had one winner this year and he said he worked a couple of them and he is not happy with them so he has closed down.

I saw the new TV advert for Ladbrokes - it looks like some of our lads on a Friday night, after they have backed one of our winners!

Why don't Man Utd just come out and say Louis Van Gaal will be their new manager?!  The Dutch man has more or less told everybody but the club have yet to confirm it.

Arsenal are 4/9 to beat Hull in tomorrows FA Cup final.  If Arsenal win, will they know what to do with the trophy?!  It has been a while since they won a cup!  I wonder if they still have a display cabinet?!  Have a nice day.
