There are just two meetings today, a flat card at Nottingham and a jumps card at Fakenham and the stable does not have any runners.  tom Scu goes all the way to Fakenham for just one ride.  He rides Flash Crash in the first race.  I hope Tom has managed to catch a lift with someone, one ride would not pay for the petrol to get there from Devon!  If you are in the area and can get to Fakenham today though it is well worth a visit.  It is like a track from about 100 years ago and I mean that in the nicest possible way.  There is some great prize moeny on offer as well with the lady amateur race even worth £4,000.  A pat on the back for Fakenham.

The English police are looking for 1500 soccer yobs to hand in their passports.  This is to stop them going to Brazil for the World Cup.  I think I might let them go, as long as Brazil win th World Cup I think it will be okay.  Mind you, if they get knocked out early, that is when the trouble could start.  My mate in Rio tells me they are still trying to finish off some of the stadiums, nothing like a bit of last minute preparation!

Arsene Wenger has signed a new three year contract as Arsenal manager.  He is 4/1 with Corals to win the Premier League before 2017.  they are only 16/1 to win the Champions league before the end of his contract, this looks a terrible price to me!

You golfers out there will know what it is like to have a double hit.  Well, Justin Rose tried a little chip just off the green and had a double hit in the Memorial tournament in Dublin, Ohio.  It makes me feel a little bit better, Justin did not look too happy!  Rory McIlroy had three consecutive double bogeys for a 78, as we know no two rounds are ever the same!

The winner of the William Hill Greyhound Derby picked up £200,000.  The second only picked up £10,000 - big difference in prize money!  Have a good day.
