   Street Entertainer runs at Bangor

It was a great days action at Goodwood yesterday and there were some top performances from Iva Wood and Cavalryman.  There was also a nice win for AP in the Galway hurdle on board Thomas Edison for boss JP McManus and there is a great picture in the Racing Post of JP holding a very young fan wearing his fanous green and gold silks!  I also see the ladies at Goodwood had a treat yesterday when Tom Cruise put in a guest performance at Glorious Goodwood.  Gail from the office tells me should would have liked to have been there!  Meanwhile today, the action continues at the Sussex track and we also have further flat racing at Thirsk, Newmarket, Musselburgh and Bath plus a jumps card at Bangor.  David has one runners at Bangor and Street Entertainer runs in the 3.50pm handicap hurdle.  There are only four runners and he should run well after two good recent runs with Tom Scu on board again.  Party Girls was also declared in the final race of the day but she is now a non runner.

Not that it is really important at this time of year but I have been looking at the jumps trainers table.  David is currently in third place, with £151,969 in prize money.  He has had 23 winners from 80 runners at a strike rate of 29% so things are currently looing good and he just has to keep it going!

It was great for the England cricket team finally to bounce back to form with an ephatic win at the Rose Bowl yesterday.  They wrapped up victory before lunch in style beating India by 266 runs.  The next test is at Old Trafford and England are 13-8 favourites to win.  They could be without James Anderson however.  This tests player of the match faces a disciplinary hearing today after an alleged altercation with Indian player Jadeja in the first test.  If found guilty he will miss the next test at his home ground.
