      Kieron Edgar returns to action

Jump race action returns today at Newton Abbot and David has two runners at our local track.  Intermath runs in the first race of the day, a juvenile hurdle.  He has finished third in all of his three races over hurdles and last time finished a place behin Vosne Romanee at Market Rasen who also lines up in this race.  I expect him to run a big race however and he could well turn the form around with this one.  Bathwick Man runs in the final race of the day, a conditional jockeys handicapp hurdle and it is great to see Kieron Edgar back in action.  This is his first ride since breaking his leg back in March and he could not wish for a better horse to ride than Bathwick Man!  There are also four other meetings on today, all on the flat at Salisbury, Beverley, Kempton and Yarmouth.

Yesterday's runner, Bathwick Street was a bit disappointing at Ffos Las.  The ground looked pretty slow and it was his first run back for over year so hopefully he will improve for this.

Richard Dennis is 50 years old today.  Richard is a former jockey who still rides out at the yard and guards his Racing Post like its gold dust!

I see Kieren Fallon had a say about Matt Chapman's riding ability.  He said he would love to challange Chapman to push a horse the whole way around Southwell in the deep sand.  He wouldn't get to the end of the straight!  I personally don't think he would get out of the saddling enclosure!

I also thought that football refs were just failed footballers but recently it appears they are top sportsmen.  It is a funny old world.

A Robin Williams joke " Never pick a fight with an ugly person they have got nothing to lose".  What a great actor and what a waste of a life.
