MCP__AP
MCP & AP part of today's Racing Post Brain Teaser!

Today we have five meetings, all on the flat at Doncaster, Chester, Bath, Lingfield and Wolverhampton.  There is some great action to look forward to, especially at Doncaster where there is £950,000 of prize money on offer.  Meanwhile there is just £32,000 total prize money up for grabs at Wolverhampton's card.  The big race at Donny is the St Leger.  They have been concerned about the ground all week for favourite Kingston Hill but he has the best form on offer.  I would be more concerned about the colt getting the trip.  The Scoop 6 has rolled over once again and today's prize fund lies at £4 million pounds.  They are tough races to pick the winners but it might be worth having a go, you never know!

There is a brain teaser in today's Racing Post where they want you to add up the times MCP has been champion trainer to the number of times AP has been champion jockey, subtract the number of times Camelot won and what figure are you left with?  It is a bit early in the morning for me!

John Francome rides again.  He is taking part in the jump jockey's against the eventers high jump challenge at Blenheim International horse trials in Oxfordshire tomorrow.  It will be worth going just to see how stylish the old champion still is!  I am sure there will be a microphone handy and you might get some stories as well.

I watched Freddie Flintoff on Piers Morgan's Life Stories on ITV last night.  He certainly likes the odd shandy and a night out with him could easily get you into trouble!  It was an interesting watch.

In the football, the big game today is Arsenal versus Man City at 12.45pm and it will be good to see Danny Welbeck at a club that might eppreciate him.  To me he looks the buy of the season at £16 million.  My bets for today are Liverpool 3/10, Man Utd 3/10 and Morton 8/13.

I thought the Great Escape was Steve McQueen.  I got it wrong.  It was in a South African Court yesterday.  Have a nice day.
